Ben Sears, MD is a shoulder and elbow specialist and partner at Western Orthopaedics, one of the oldest and most established orthopaedic practices in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Sears has advanced training in the treatment of both common and complex shoulder and elbow conditions including arthroscopy, joint replacement, as well as fracture and dislocation management. Dr. Sears has a special interest in elbow surgery and after his primary fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Rothman Institution at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, he completed two observational fellowships at the premier elbow training centers in the world including the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and at the McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre, Ontario, Canada.
In addition to his busy clinical practice, Dr. Sears and the Western Orthopaedic Shoulder and Elbow Service continue to lead advancements in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery with multiple ongoing original research projects and clinical investigations. Dr. Sears acts as the principal investigator in a FDA clinical trial investigating a new stemless humeral shoulder replacement device and functions as a codesigner in a novel and state of the art shoulder arthroplasty system.
